Copywriting is always based on discussed details regarding content, scope, format, style and target group. A new text should always be created when you want to bring something new about yourself or your company, e.g. new products, services or services to the outside world or inform your customers about other news and events.

For me, texts are not abstract quantities or mere objects in which information is transported, but living entities that have an inner life and in their dynamics and diversity contain diverse images, ideas, emotions, colours and sounds that are meant to reach people and have an effect on them.

When writing texts, I make a special effort to adhere to the seven textuality criteria known from text linguistics (intentionality, informativeness, acceptability, situationality, intertextuality, coherence and cohesion, cf. De Beaugrande / Dressler, 1981, p. 3.) and thus produce clear, coherent and cohesive texts that have a common thread and are recognizable as a coherent whole. These criteria must, of course, be balanced and strategically used depending on the type of text, communicative function and target group in order to ensure the greatest possible communicative success and to achieve the intended effect on the target group. The criteria mentioned here, my linguistic expertise as well as my great awareness in dealing with language form the basis for text creation, text adaptation, proofreading and editing, but also for text translations and for the writing and language trainings I offer.

Furthermore, I can revise existing texts for you. If you want to redesign your website, the texts should always be adapted in terms of content and appearance. After all, the content should be in harmony with the layout. You should also have texts adapted if you want to address a new target group. This can be the case, for example, if you want to launch a new product on the market or if you want to expand or reposition your company in the online sector, for example, in the course of the increasingly present digitalization.

I check your texts for their comprehensibility with regard to the target group and adapt them if necessary. This adaptation can take place in the areas of syntax (sentence structure, sentence length), the arrangement of elements in the sentence, in the area of word formation (morphology) and word meanings (semantics), whereby, for example, overly complex paraphrases or multi-word compounds can be dissolved and simplified, obsolete terms can be replaced by more current/ everyday terms or, for example, an excessive use of the passive voice (impersonal style) can be replaced by active forms (the texts then have a more direct and personal character and in turn appear more personal). Various rhetorical figures (e.g. anaphors, alliterations, ellipses, hyperboles, parallelisms) can be used to make the texts (e.g. advertising texts) even more stimulating. Furthermore, the texts can be revised on the text-linguistic level and information can be rearranged and better arranged (first the old, known information = theme, then the new information = rheme, to maintain text coherence, also cohesive means such as conjunctions and pronominal adverbs can be used to connect sentences, recurrences, anaphors, pro-forms etc. to improve the factor of text cohesion). Last but not least, the global text structure can also be improved for example by making paragraphs, inserting headings, creating additional graphics or tables, or using typographic elements (bold, italics, font size, font colour) to highlight certain parts of the text and give them more emphasis.

For these types of texts in particular, I attach great importance to comprehensible text formulation, as concrete rules of action have to be derived from user texts in particular, which is why the language should be clear and precise and ambiguous expressions should be avoided, as well as - depending on the type of text and the degree of difficulty of the content - a balance should be struck between overly concise language and the use of redundant elements.

Artistic texts (literature, ghostwriting, philosophical essays, short stories, novels, poems)

Artistic, literary and philosophical texts are particularly close to my heart. The creation of such texts requires a special talent and artistic vein. Although there are numerous courses, writing workshops and seminars for learning certain writing techniques, I am convinced that literary activity is rather a talent that one either has or does not have from birth. For me, writing is an expression of my uniqueness and my true self, the art of language is the means to bring my colourful inner life to the outside world.
